When This Teen Couldn’t Have The Prom Date She Wanted, Her 67-Year-Old Grandfather Offered To Fill In And It’s Adorable | Buzzfeed

[dropcap]Meet[/dropcap] Kaylah Bell, a 17-year-old from California who didn’t have a date for her prom.

She told BuzzFeed News: “I have a lot of guy friends and they all wanted to go with girls they had crushes on or were dating. And the potential suitors I did have wanted to continue on with ‘the popular prom festivities’ which I wasn’t okay with. I had planned to go with my two best friends but they dressed to match each other and I didn’t have anyone to match me.” [mc4wp_form id=”6042″]

And so in the absence of having a date, Kaylah’s 67-year-old grandfather Alvin Hackett seized the opportunity to take his granddaughter to the special occasion.
