Meet Kaylah Bell, a 17-year-old from California who didn’t have a date for her prom.

She told BuzzFeed News: “I have a lot of guy friends and they all wanted to go with girls they had crushes on or were dating. And the potential suitors I did have wanted to continue on with ‘the popular prom festivities’ which I wasn’t okay with. I had planned to go with my two best friends but they dressed to match each other and I didn’t have anyone to match me.”
