Deadline and Variety reported yesterday (April 5) that National Geographic Channel will adapt “Hidden Figures” into a scripted television series. The series takes inspiration from the Screen Actors Guild Award-winning historical drama, which drew from Margot Lee Shetterly’s best-selling book about the Black scientists who enabled NASA’s first human spaceflight missions.
“Hidden Figures” film producers Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping will executive produce the series, which is still in early stages of development.
